CROWD FUNDING CAMPAIGN

The life of a child is a precious stone, it can light the world if we allow it… it can change the world if we nurture it… it can inspire a generation if we support it…

Every child smiles when they are strong but… if they are weak, it becomes a different story entirely. Childhood cancer is a pain that steals the smiles of thousands of children every year.

Every day one child dies somewhere to Childhood Cancer in Nigeria…

Over 100,000 Nigerians are diagnosed with cancer annually.  11.4% of that figure is children.

Hundreds of kids are ravaged by this scourge in different hospitals all around Nigeria, if you do a sum up, the figure is very alarming, and we can’t close our eyes to the future of these kids, most especially the ones whose parents have given up due to lack of funds and support system.

Emmanuel was a boy of 7years suffered from leukemia between …… all efforts to make him survive was unsuccessful; Emmanuel would have been alive if there was a platelet making machine at the hospital to make readily available platelet for transfusion, this is so sad and us at DCCF it’s a sad experience because we watch children go through this pain, so we have decided not to fold our arms for reoccurrence. We cannot sit back and watch numerous kids die through the years as a result of this lack. We are determined to buy a new platelet making machine to cater for other childhood cancer little soldiers.

If there was a flow cytometer available, the cost of sending baby Chisoms sample to South Africa for screening  would not have been an issue as she would have gotten prompt diagnosis on the exact  type of Leukemia she was battling and she would have still been alive and probably a survivor by now. How many more children have to pay with their lives for this lack?

According to WHO, over 100,000 Nigerians are diagnosed with cancer annually.

Every day, one child dies somewhere in Nigeria to childhood cancer. Tears have rolled on the faces of so many parents who have found themselves helpless most of the time.

We understand that money can’t buy life but Love can enable a new beginning for the many children who are still affected by this scourge, so we have decided to crowd fund for the purpose of filling the gaps that exist in treating an average child cancer patient.

If we get the support to raise $70,000 between February 15th and April 15th, we would happily acquire a Flow Cytometer and a platelet making machine to aid the treatment and prompt diagnosis of children battling cancer at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria.

Please join our crowd funding campaign to raise 70, 000 to buy a platelet making machine and a flow cytometer. We can’t fold our hands and watch our little soldiers suffer from childhood cancer due to a lack of these essentials.

We must stand for a cause to change lives. Join our campaign: STOP CHILDHOOD CANCER Crowd funding Campaign.

IF NOT US, WHO? IF NOT NOW, WHEN? … ALL FOR THE LOVE OF A CHILD.
